CSUMB dropped to 17-23, 14-17.
David Silvas continues to be a key story for the Coyotes' success over the last 10 games. He extended his hitting streak to a team-high nine games with three doubles in four at-bats. He is 16-for-33 in that stretch (a .485 average) and owns eight extra-base hits.

The Coyotes grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first. Silvas reached base on a two-out double and moved over to third on

The Otters tied the game in the fourth when Tommy George reached third on Tony Hernandez' single to right. Silvas mishandled the ball on the play and George scampered home on the error.
But CSUSB pushed across two runs in the fifth for the lead.
Erik Ornelas led off with a single and Silvas launched his third double of the day for his first RBI of the day. Day advanced Silvas to third on a sacrifice bunt and LeFay's sacrifice fly to left scored Silvas.
