Daktronics All-West Region Softball Team

SAN BERNARDINO — The CCAA Freshman of the Year, Britney Butler, continues to receive accolades after a stand out year at Cal State San Bernardino. The Riverside, Calif., native was named to the Daktronics All-West Region second team Thursday.

Butler tied the school record for home runs, with 14, in her last at bat of the season and was just one short of tying the CCAA record. Not only did she lead the CCAA in home runs, but she was second in runs scored (49), triples (3), total bases (113) and fifth in stolen bases (15). She made just six errors in 194 attempts. She also led the team in RBIs (33) and slugging percentage (.706). In addition Butler was named to the All-CCAA first team.

The Coyotes have had at least one player selected to the all-region team in each of the past four seasons.
