BAKERSFIELD — Cal State San Bernardino closed its 2010 season with a 7-5 loss to Sonoma State on the final day of the 2010 Western Water Polo Association Championships.

The Coyotes led the Seawolves 2-1 after the first quarter on goals by Kaitlin Hartman and Misty Vu, but Sonoma netted two in the second quarter and took a 3-2 lead into the half.

The Coyotes fell behind 4-2 in the third quarter before scores by Emily Hove and Hartman evened things up at 4-4.

The Seawolves took control in the fourth, as they put the game away with a three-goal run to take a 7-4 lead with 4:18 left. Marilyn Doughtry added a late goal for CSUSB to make the final score 7-5, but that was as close as the Coyotes came.  Cal State San Bernardino goaltender Bryanna Burns had eleven saves in the loss.

The Coyotes finish the 2010 season at 15-23 and it was the last game for Hartman, Doughty and Kelsey Morino.
