POMONA — Christina Torres and
Janay Palicte continued their winning streak in doubles and
Isabella Fraczek followed suit in singles as Cal State San Bernardino fell 6-3 to No. 25 Cal Poly Pomona.
Torres and Palicte ran their doubles streak to five straight matches with an 8-6 win over Kaitlin Wooldridge and Christie Lau at No. 2. The Broncos won the other two doubles matches as Jennifer Chow and Jackie Trendt downed Fraczek and
Allison Brooks at No. 1 while Mallory Brady and Jennifer Buchanan beat
Kara Jenkins and
Brittany Choate, 8-5.
Fraczek won her fourth straight singles match to move to 7-3 overall and 5-3 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The freshman took down Wooldridge, 6-3, 3-6 (12-10) at No. 4.
Kara Jenkins also won at No. 6 with a 6-7 (4-7), 6-0 (10-7) win over Michelle Stock. Trendt defeated Choate at No. 1, 6-4, 6-1 while Chow knocked off Palicte, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Brady won in straight sets over Torres, 8-0, 6-1 at No. 3 and Fallon Blattner beat Brooks, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5.
The Coyotes close out their season next week with matches on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday all at home.
