Cal State San Bernardino sits in in a tie for fourth at the 60th SoCal Intercollegiate

Day One Totals

MISSION VIEJO — Cal State San Bernardino sits in a tie for fourth after the day one, and the first two rounds, of the 60th SoCal Intercollegiate hosted by UC San Diego, Monday.

The Coyotes shot a 314 first round, leaving them in sixth, before moving up two spots with a 311 second round to put them in a tie with Washburn (Kan.).

Gene Webster Jr. fired a combined 153 with a 79 in the first round and a 74 in the second to finish the day in a tie for eighth, leading the way for CSUSB. Thomas Chu and Joe Alldis are tied for 15th as both shot an identical 156 (77-79) combined total. Nick Kelly shot an 81 and an 82 which put him in a tie for 32nd with a total of 163 while Kenny Anthony sits in 38th after shooting a 165 with an 86 in the first round and a 79 in the second. BK Kim also played as an individual, shooting a combined 182 (94-88) to finish in 55th.

Sonoma State leads the field with a 607 (301-306) two-round total. The Seawolves are 16 shots ahead of second place No. 13 St. Edward's (Texas), which shot a 623 (311-312), and 17 shots ahead of third-place Cal State Dominguez Hills that shot a 624 (308-316).

Collin Mayer of St. Edward's shot a first-round 71 and followed that with a 73 to take first place through day one with a combined total of 144. He leads Cal State Dominguez Hills' Ryan Indovina by just one stroke after he fired a 145 (71-74). Somona's Janssen Todd is in third at 149 (301-306).

The final round will be played tomorrow morning.
